Celebration Tour: Rachel Kolly & Christian Chamorel – The two artists from western Switzerland gave their first concert in Zurich in 1994 after winning two first prizes in the final of the Jeunesses Musicales competition. 30 years later, in 2024, they released the three Brahms sonatas and played at Carnegie Hall in New York, Chicago, Berlin, the Musikverein and London.
Although both artists have careers as soloists and chamber musicians, Rachel performs with her 1732 Stradivarius together with Christian at renowned festivals all over the world. She has performed as a soloist with the NHK Orchestra Tokyo, the WDR Orchestra Cologne, the Royal Orchestra of Seville, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonics and has made her first recordings with the major Warner Classics label. Christian Chamorel, a highly sought-after pianist, is a professor at the University of Fribourg and director of chamber music and song festivals.
