Zurich Convention Center is located in the heart of the city. This is where you’ll find tourists from all over the planet and one of the world’s most famous shopping streets, and even the locals never fail to be impressed by the views. Visitors from the surrounding area can easily reach us on foot or by using public transport. International guests who arrive at the airport can likewise find their way to Zurich Convention Center in no time at all, and we’re just minutes away from a range of amazing hotels where our guests can spend the night while enjoying special rates. Moreover, only Lake Zurich separates us from the Swiss mountain panorama, so our visitors can enjoy some wonderful views from the terrace.

A building with a history.

Zurich Convention Center was built between 1937 and 1939, making it an outstanding example of the architecture of that period. The Center was comprehensively renovated from 2017 to 2021 and was finally reopened in a ceremony held in September 2021. Ever since then, our building has adhered to even higher standards which can rival those of any of our international competitors.

During its history which thus reaches back for many decades, Zurich Convention Center has already welcomed numerous stars and guests from all over the globe, including Tina Turner, Ella Fitzgerald, Udo Jürgens and Deep Purple. Winners of the Nobel Prize for Literature, US presidents and figures such as the Dalai Lama have also honoured us with their presence.

From an architectural perspective, our building doesn’t simply combine tradition with modernity: it’s very important to us that the Center should be completely barrier-free. Every room or space in the building can therefore be reached directly in a wheelchair, places for wheelchairs are provided, and guests with visual impairment can bring their guide dogs with them.

Ahead of its time.

We’re delighted to have won a number of awards in recent years and have acquired a variety of certifications, including ones that recognize our efforts in the area of sustainability. Events held at Zurich Convention Center are 100% climate-neutral, and we rely upon regional sources for anything from energy right through to the food we serve.

However, the certificates we’ve received are more than just pieces of paper we can display to prove our credentials. They demonstrate that processes, procedures and areas of responsibility are embodied in a completely professional manner, and that they’re regularly checked and constantly improved. Not least of all, they’re also a sign for our employees that their day-to-day commitment hasn’t gone unnoticed and that it isn’t taken for granted either.

It’s not just our state-of-the-art technology with its almost limitless possibilities but also our in-house catering that ensure everything will run smoothly. We prepare all the food and drink for events on-site so there’s no need for complex transport logistics, while food that’s frozen or chilled will always be kept at the right temperature. Our guests in LUX Restaurant & Bar will also be wowed by our first-class catering offer which is inspired by the vibrant city we call home, while the ingredients are - wherever possible – sourced locally.
