Finance Forum Zurich 2025 - On September 23, 2025, the Swiss financial sector will once again meet at the Finance Forum Zurich. After the opening by Zurich's Director of Economic Affairs Carmen Walker Späh, high-profile guests such as former German Finance Minister Christian Lindner, EFG Bank CEO Giorgio Pradelli and BlackRock Switzerland CEO Dirk Klee will talk about the future of the Swiss financial center.

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the Finance Forum Zurich will take place for the third time at the Kongresshaus Zurich. The meeting place for the Swiss financial sector will once again bring together several hundred financial service providers to discuss the current opportunities and challenges facing the Swiss financial center. The conference offers an attractive program with top-class speakers, informative workshops and attractive networking opportunities. High-profile speakers from politics, business and academia will shed light on developments in the financial sector from various perspectives.

Financial center in upheaval

The Finance Forum Zurich 2025 will feature top-class speakers and panel guests. After the welcoming address by Zurich's Director of Economic Affairs Carmen Walker Späh, Giorgio Pradelli, CEO of EFG Bank, will give a current overview of the Swiss financial center and outline possible scenarios for the future. Pradelli is a member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Bankers Association and Chairman of the Association of Swiss Asset Management Banks. EFG is one of the fastest-growing private banks in Switzerland with over 3,000 employees worldwide.

Potential of artificial intelligence

Direct insights into the wealth management business will then be provided by Dirk Klee, Country Head of BlackRock Switzerland. From the perspective of the world's largest asset manager, he will show how the industry needs to reposition itself in order to address current trends and developments

The central role of innovation will be highlighted by IT entrepreneur Thomas Wüst. The founder and CEO of ti&m relies on swiss made software and a strategically and operationally deeply rooted use of artificial intelligence to make Swiss software development sustainably competitive. Using concrete examples, he will show how ti&m is streamlining processes with AI, creating new use cases and thus countering the increasing outsourcing abroad with an efficient, local alternative.

Panel discusses competitiveness

After a short refreshment break, a prominent panel will discuss the international competitiveness of the Swiss financial center. The panel will include Roman Studer, CEO of the Swiss Bankers Association, Iwan Deplazes, President of the Asset Management Association Switzerland, and financial economist Thorsten Hens from the University of Zurich. The panel, chaired by moderator Andi Lüscher, will discuss how Switzerland can remain successful in the long term while combining innovation and stability.

Appearance of the former Federal Minister of Finance

A particular highlight is the appearance of former German Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner. A few months after leaving politics, Lindner will make one of his first public appearances at the Finance Forum Zurich. The former top politician will speak in particular about economic and geopolitical developments in Europe and their impact on the international financial markets. Experienced moderator and business journalist Andi Lüscher will lead through the program. At the end of the event, an aperitif riche will provide an opportunity for personal exchange and networking.
