The Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom rages in the catacombs of the Paris Opera as a disfigured, feared and inwardly torn being. Christine is torn between her childhood sweetheart, Count Raoul de Chagny, and her mysterious mentor, with whose help her voice attains beguiling beauty.
"I know whom I love, now I must know whom I must hate." A sentence that sums up the delicate love triangle in the world-famous story of the "Phantom of the Opera". The musical production by Sasson/Sautter has been captivating audiences on the stages of Europe since 2010. The forced break due to the corona pandemic was used creatively to completely revamp the production musically. The successful British musician Ryan Martin, who has composed and arranged music for Cirque du Soleil, America's Got Talent, Netflix, BBC, ABC, CBS and Fox USA, among others, was recruited for this. In addition to the enthusiasm of the large stage ensemble and the breathtaking music, the spectacular stage design is particularly impressive. It thrives on both the effective, three-dimensional video projections by internationally acclaimed multimedia artist Daniel Stryjecki and the grandiose stage elements designed and built by Michael Scott of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. The production has now been awarded the "Golden Sun 2023" for Best Musical by Sonnenklar.TV for the quality of the performers, the music and the spectacular stage design.
